Team San Francisco Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

Team San Francisco is built on community, inclusion, respect, and pride. Whether you're an athlete, performer, volunteer, supporter, coach, official, or board member, you're part of something bigger than yourself.

We want every Team San Francisco event, meeting, competition, and gathering to be a place where people feel welcomed, valued, and safe. This Code of Conduct helps set expectations for how we treat one another and represent our organization.

What We Expect

As a member of Team San Francisco, we ask that you:

  • Treat others with respect, kindness, and consideration.

  • Help create a welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

  • Communicate thoughtfully, even when you disagree with someone.

  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship and professionalism at events, competitions, performances, meetings, and online.

  • Respect personal boundaries and contribute to a safe environment for everyone.

  • Follow applicable laws, event rules, and venue policies.

  • Represent Team San Francisco in a positive manner within the community and while traveling to events.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are inconsistent with Team San Francisco's values and will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or hateful conduct.

  • Bullying, intimidation, threats, or retaliation.

  • Physical violence or abusive behavior.

  • Sexual harassment or unwelcome sexual conduct.

  • Damage to property or misuse of organizational resources.

  • Any behavior that puts the safety, well-being, or experience of others at risk.

Social Media and Online Conduct

We recognize that members use social media to connect, share experiences, and express themselves. We simply ask that members engage respectfully and avoid conduct that harms, harasses, or targets others.

Remember that when identifying yourself as a Team San Francisco member, your actions may reflect on the organization and our broader community.

If Something Goes Wrong

If you experience or witness behavior that does not align with this Code of Conduct, please bring it to the attention of Team San Francisco leadership. Concerns will be reviewed fairly and respectfully.

Accountability

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in action by Team San Francisco, including a conversation with leadership, suspension of membership privileges, or termination of membership, depending on the circumstances.
